The Insider's Guide to Getting a First |
Our material can be applied in many different settings. One of the ways we've put our methods to work has been in applying them to the academic world. Mark Black has written The Insider's Guide to Getting a First which explains step-by-step how to get the most from time at university. And it works! Mark and Stephen, Steve's twin sons, both completed MBAs (Master in Business Administration) with distinctions using the same techniques that have delivered success in sport and business. The book is a clear, straight forward explanation of how they did it. The approach that Mark and Stephen applied has its grounding in sports conditioning and business strategy. We advocate thorough planning, openness, investment, teamwork and clarity to make sure that when the deadlines come you have had the best preparation for success. The book is aimed at anyone studying at university or college. The principles are mostly generic, and will apply to almost every course. It can help at any stage of study and is already in use at universities up and down the country. Mark is also planning a series of talks with around the UK based on the book. Watch this space for more info. If you're a lecturer interested in hosting one of Mark's seminars on-campus then please email us via the contact page. |
